Peter Freeman, QC, Bursary for Indigenous Students in Law

Trent Kulchar is a graduate of Athabasca University where he earned a Bachelor of Professional Arts degree. His studies in law school at the University of Calgary focused on black letter law, and he plans on practising corporate and commercial litigation.

Having completed his Bachelor of Laws this spring, Trent began his articles in July 2011 at JSS Barristers in Calgary. He feels honoured to receive this award.

The Peter Freeman, QC, Bursary for Indigenous Students in Law was created in 2001 by the Law Society of Alberta to honour Peter Freeman, QC, who served as Executive Director of the Law Society from 1989 until his retirement in 2001. The award honours his lifelong dedication to legal education and his many contributions to the legal profession.
