Notice of Suspension - Brian McCullough
On January 10, 2013, a Hearing Committee found the conduct of Brian McCullough, an active member who lives and practises in Calgary, Alberta, to be deserving of sanction on three citations.
The matters in which his conduct was found to be deserving of sanction included: failing to serve his client, and failing to respond to his client’s communications on a timely basis.
The Hearing Committee ordered, pursuant to Section 72(1)(b) of the Legal Profession Act R.S.A. 2000, c. L-8, that Mr. McCullough be suspended for 30 days, the suspension to begin on February 8, 2013, 30 days from the day of the hearing. The Hearing Committee also ordered Mr. McCullough to pay actual costs in the amount of $2,094.50, together with a fine in the amount of $1,000.00.
A member of Mr. McCullough’s firm, Mr. Robert C. Mathews, will maintain responsibility for his files while he is on suspension.
This Notice is issued pursuant to the requirements of Section 85 of the Legal Profession Act.
Notice of Suspension - Noble E. Shanks
Effective January 15, 2013, Noble E. Shanks was suspended for non-payment of the 2012/2013 2nd instalment of the Professional Liability Insurance Levy.
