Notice of Resignation - Donald Lowe
On April 26, 2013, a Resignation Committee of the Benchers of the Law Society of Alberta approved the application of Donald Lowe to resign pursuant to section 32 of the Legal Profession Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. L-8, effective April 26, 2013. Mr. Lowe is therefore no longer a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
Mr. Lowe was retired from the Law Society prior to his resignation. He resides in Calgary, Alberta, and practiced in Calgary from July 28, 1987 until on, or about, November 30, 2012.
Mr. Lowe was facing conduct proceedings under Part 3 of the Legal Profession Act pursuant to several investigations. The conduct allegations included: failing to serve his clients, failing to respond to his clients, failing to respond to another member, and failing to obey a court order. Mr. Lowe admitted facts to support the allegations under investigation.
As part of his application for resignation, Mr. Lowe undertook to never apply for reinstatement to the Law Society of Alberta.
