Lawyer Portal Now Accepts Two More Methods of Payment

The Law Society recently introduced two new methods of payment on the Lawyer Portal which is now available to lawyers and their firms. Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) and Interac Online Payments (IOP) provide quick and easy payment alternatives to cheques and credit cards.

Both of these new methods of payment are efficient, cost effective and don’t require the hassle of writing and mailing a cheque or charging a large amount to a credit card. The IOP method enables you or your firm to pay invoices by logging into your financial institution’s online banking through the Lawyer Portal and paying directly. Funds are immediately withdrawn from your account and your payment status is simultaneously updated in our system.  Firms choosing to pay by EFT can simply select it from the payment options on the Lawyer Portal and then transfer the required funds to the Law Society.

Next time you log on to the Lawyer Portal, look for the pay by IOP or EFT option in your checkout. This is another way we are making it easier for you to do business with us.
