Notary Letter

Similar to a certificate of standing, a notary letter is commonly required by consulates.
Effective January 1, 2017 the Law Society will no longer be issuing two complimentary notary letters each year to lawyers in Alberta.   

Requests for a notary letter may be made in writing to the Law Society of Alberta, and are subject to fees outlined in the Law Society fee schedule.

How to Request a Certificate

To obtain a certificate, contact Membership Services at 403.229.4781 or email Membership Services.

Method of Payment

Fees are payable to the Law Society of Alberta (making a payment)
