Early Intervention: Programs and Resources

The complexities of managing an effective law practice, interacting with clients and other customer service skills are traditionally not taught in law school. The Law Society provides lawyers a spectrum of programs and resources to foster better practice management and improve delivery of legal services. These programs and resources target areas where we have identified the greatest need for resources, including:

  • Practice Review – Full/Issue-Specific/Mentorship
  • Learning opportunities
    • Small firm practice course
    • Other courses to address common issues
  • Directed coaching
  • Locum Connect
  • Mentor Connect
  • Competency upgrade
  • Personal issue management

It is important to note that the Law Society maintains a record of all matters brought to our attention. If matters are repeatedly raised about a lawyer, a disciplinary approach may be considered.
