Scam misrepresenting Carlyle Law

The Law Society has received reports of faxes and email messaging from individuals who claim to be representing Carlyle Law or Carlyle Partners Barristers and Solicitors, an illegitimate law firm seeking to perpetrate a scam. The perpetrators are using the location and name of an actual law firm, who is in no way affiliated with the scammers.

The scammers have contacted individuals all over the globe, usually claiming to be serving as representatives of an estate of a long-lost relative, looking to disburse insurance money. These scammers have commonly used the name David L. Cook, who is not a member of the Law Society and is not authorized to practice law in Alberta.

Individuals who receive messages from Carlyle Partners are encouraged to contact their local law enforcement and report this issue.

Before retaining a lawyer in Alberta, make sure she or he is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta. This can be done by conducting a search through the Law Society of Alberta’s Lawyer Directory.

I also received a fax from 1416652020 asking me to reply to David L Cook to the following emails: dlcook416@gmail.com and david@davidllcook.com

Who is the appropriate law enforcement agency to report this to?

I have received a fax from 1416002110 asking me to reply to the emails davecook417@gmail.com or david@cookldavid.com. I work in a medical office and the paper said that our doctor was the corresponder of a “permanent life insurance policy” .

This happened at our office also. We are in North Carolina. Our doctor was notified by fax from +1416002110 David Cook. Same emails listed in these replies.

My office received this letter today claiming that Mr Alan Millligan died nine years ago and he worked for the Energy Company of Canada, Since his death no one has come forward for his claim in the amount of 9,820.000 . This is so stupid. the fax number it was sent from is 1416002110 and the phone number to call is 16477925967. Whoever is doing this should know a couple of things about attorneys. WHO WRITES THEIR LETTERS. HA HA. I THInk I could have some fun with this one if I had time. IDIOTS JUST IDIOTS

Sent to my wife’s office in New York State from TrusteesLaw in Quebec.

My office received this letter today claiming that Mr Alan Gill died nine years ago and he worked for the Energy Company of Canada, Since his death no one has come forward for his claim in the amount of 9,820.000 .

Exact same wording, only last name changed. Some Freshman Word/MS Access bulk fake letter…..hahahaha. How stupid can they be!

We were cranking out resume letters on our R/S TRS-80 computer in 1985 that did the same job using Basic and a serial file from a cassette player trying to get a job!!!

They walk among us…

I received this scam from fax 1 416002110 in our office in Falmouth Maine.

I have received this scam fax TWICE from 1 416002110 in our clinic in Des Moines, Iowa.
Does anyone know the appropriate “local law enforcement” agency to report this to?

Received it through our health center fax from the number 1416002110. We are located in Provo, Utah.

New one: Same fax number 1-416002110. This time from Eric W. Beaver of Thomas, Logan and Beaver Law firm based in Toronto, ON. They have all of the firms contact info (phone, fax, email and website – even logo) stating the same b.s. about “so-and-so died in an accident while working with Energy Company in Canada” and “There is an unclaimed ‘permanent life insurance policy’ in the sum of $9,820,000 with Reputable Bank.” They even have Eric’s actual law email and to c.c. in a bogus gmail account with his name.

I have received the exam same fax as above, representing Eric W Beaver of Thomas, Logan, same info about a relative in an accident while working with “energy company in canada” – same insurance amount, etc.

New Lawfirm: Wydryzynski LLP based in Ontario, CA. From the same fax number 1-416002110. Regarding the death of Alan Hillebrand, same sum of $9,820,000.

Received Scam fax from 1416002110 stating it’s a law from from GRR- Law with email trassos@grr-llp.com and trassoslaw@gmail.com with phone number 1416-907-6104 regarding Mr. Alan Dehlin who worked for energy company in Canada death benefit $9,820,000.

Yes, same received by us today in Tennessee.

I am living in Europe amd I also got a fax from +1416652020 regarding live insurance Alan Gxxx. My idea was to follow these little crooks and to see what happens, as long as it costs no money.
Next, I received a fake death notice, several fake court decisions, and finally a copy of a fake ID card. This was to convince me, that everything is serious.
Then they asked me, if I agree to continue. When I agreed, the fun began properly. They gave me a link to a fake homepage of Santander bank and tried to force me to pay for fees and transfer charges to offshore accounts to gain access to the insurance policy.
Such an ending was actually clear from the beginning.
The internet does not forget anything. I tried to find traces, what else these crooks are doing. The result: they are on the way with this scam for at least 2 years, while they continue to refine their methods.
These scams and the falsification of official documents should meanwhile be a matter for the Canadian prosecutor.

We received the fax from 1416002110 with the name of Richard Payne from Johal Law Firm.

Received almost exact one from fax 1416002110. but they used the name Trustees Law LLP in Quebec.

I work for an insurance agency, everyone that works here received the same fax from the number 1416340313 but with there last names, from William Yang ESQ, with Trustees Law LLP. Funny how we all had a relative we were unaware of that worked for an electrical company in Canada that died and left us all the same amount $9 million dollars, nothing but a scam

I got it here in California today. Badly written letter. Weird that they have my name and work fax number. I’m used to scams at home and on my cell phone!
