Your work will be completed in your home after meeting with clients in their home. The job involves driving to rural areas and to the small towns in Alberta, south and west of Calgary. This position is for someone who is looking to maintain a part-time practice but their main objective is to continue to provide legal services and maintain their skills in these areas of law, rather than earning significant income to support themselves. The intent is that this will evolve to assuming the practice and clients I currently have. As a Locum, you will be responsible for overseeing our real estate closing transactions and ensuring smooth operations during this period. Responsibilities: Supervise real estate closing transactions, ensuring all legal requirements are met. Maintain effective communication with real estate agents and mortgage brokers to facilitate seamless transactions. Oversee the dispersal of funds for purchase and sale transactions, ensuring accurate and timely handling of financial transactions. Provide guidance and supervision to staff members working on real estate matters. Requirements: Valid license to practice law in Alberta. Extensive experience in real estate law, specifically in handling residential transactions. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, real estate agents, and mortgage brokers. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
