Terms and Conditions for Participating Students*
1. 1. I understand and accept that by submitting this registration to the Indigenous Summer Student Program (ISSP), that the Law Society of Alberta has my consent to reach out to the firms and organizations I have listed to confirm my registration and advise them of my pending application package, and that I am providing the firms and organizations with consent to contact the Law Society of Alberta to confirm my participation in the ISSP or provide information to them about the application process.
2. 2. I understand and accept that by submitting this registration to the ISSP, that I am confirming for the Law Society of Alberta and any participating firms or organizations that I meet the ISSP criteria, and that I may be asked for confirmation of my community status by the firms or organizations who choose to interview me.
3. 3. I understand and accept that the Law Society of Alberta does not have a role in the interview, hiring, or payment process for the ISSP, that they are only acting as facilitators.
4. 4. I understand and accept that participation in the ISSP does not guarantee me a summer student position at any of the firms and organizations I will be sending an application, and that not every firm or organization I send an application may contact me for an interview.
5. 5. I understand and accept that by submitting this registration I may be contacted by the ISSP Coordinator during the ISSP cycle for the year I participate.
6. 6. I understand and accept that the ISSP Coordinator will send a survey to gather information about my experience with the ISSP.
7. 7. I will notify the Program Coordinator after I apply for a position.
