- Professional Regulatory Body Review
The Government of Alberta announced their intention to conduct a review of all regulatory bodies in Alberta. You can view the announcement here.
As one of Alberta’s professional regulatory bodies, we believe this is an important conversation and look forward to participating in the review and engaging with the government and legal stakeholders through the consultation.
Survey for Alberta Lawyers
The government has requested we share the survey and all Alberta lawyers are invited by the government to participate in this important conversation by completing the government survey at the link provided in the Oct. 29 eBulletin.
As with all consultations, it is important for the government to gather diverse perspectives from as many stakeholders as possible. There is an open-ended question at the end of the survey for lawyers to provide additional information or thoughts to the government about these important topics. We encourage all lawyers to take this opportunity to answer the questions as outlined and to share any additional perspectives.
If you have questions about any of the Law Society processes or initiatives, we encourage you to visit our website and view our many resources.
