- About the Tribunal Office
It is important for hearings to be conducted in a fair and unbiased manner, and this responsibility lies with our Tribunal Office. Our independent adjudicators ensure that proceedings are fair and conducted in the public interest. These adjudicators include Benchers (board members) and both appointed lawyers and members of the public.
The Tribunal Office:
- Provides independent advice and support to the adjudicators.
- Ensures that hearings are impartial and conducted in a manner that is timely, fair and transparent.
- Manages the hearing process, including scheduling pre-hearing conferences, hearings and complaint dismissal appeals.
- Issues, and in some cases, publishes, hearing decisions and outcomes.
If you have any questions regarding the Tribunal Office or our processes, please email us.
