1. By using the AdvisorLink program, you agree to be bound by these conditions of use.
2. The Practice Advisors operate AdvisorLink. Neither the Practice Advisors, nor the Law Society of Alberta, have any liability whatsoever arising from assistance given to lawyers through the AdvisorLink program or to any persons claiming through or under them.
3. Volunteer Advisors will have no liability whatsoever arising from assistance given to lawyers or to any persons claiming through or under them through the AdvisorLink program.
4. Lawyers using the AdvisorLink program must independently verify statements of law, procedure or fact made to them by the Advisor, before relying on them.
5. AdvisorLink must not be used as a substitute for the lawyer’s own thorough research and analysis or for the lawyer’s own professional judgment.
6. Advice provided by an Advisor must not be provided directly to clients. For example, a lawyer must not forward email communications from the volunteer Advisor to the lawyer’s client. The lawyer seeking the advice is responsible for ensuring its accuracy and is responsible for providing the advice directly to their client.
