Welcome 2025–26 President and President-Elect
Ryan D. Anderson, KC, President 2025–26
Ryan D. Anderson, KC, begins his term as the 2025–26 President of the Law Society of Alberta today.
Ryan joined the Board in 2018. He is a Partner at Huckvale LLP in Lethbridge, where his practice consists of agricultural transactions and finance, wills and estates, and family law disputes, including work as a mediator.
“I am thankful for the leadership of our outgoing President Deanna Steblyk, KC and hope to continue the work we have started with our Strategic Plan,” says Ryan. “I look forward to my coming year as President of the Law Society.
“It will be an exciting but also challenging year as we move forward with our strategic plan. A key this year will be continuing to regulate the legal profession in a transparent, proportionate and efficient manner. Part of this will be our continued work with the Government on their regulatory review. We will also be working on ways to improve our discipline process so it is more efficient and transparent to lawyers and the public.”
